Information Session on the Moorestown School Bond Referendum--11/12

MooreUnity is hosting Superintendent Dr. Scott McCartney and members of the Board of Education for a presentation on the Bond Referendum. The meeting will be in the Moorestown HIgh School STAR Center on Tuesday, November 12th starting at 7 p.m. and will run for about an hour. Come learn about the proposal, ask questions, and be informed when it's time to vote in a special election scheduled for December 10th.


Conversation on Culture in Remembrance of Kristalnacht--11/14

MooreUnity and Perkins Center for the Arts are teaming up to host Dr. Lawrence Glaser for Lawrence M. Glaser, Executive Director of the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education for a Conversation on Culture about the Holocaust. Please join us at 10 a.m. on Thursday November 14th at the Perkins Center.


Exchange Students to Share their Experiences--11/20

On Wednesday, November 20th, Sally, Rima and Chalida, exchange students who are spending the school year at Moorestown, Lenape and Haddonfield High Schools will talk about their home countries' cultures and how they compare to their experiences here.  Sally, Rima and Chalida are guests of the US State Department and are excited to share their stories with us!  We will be meeting at the Knowles Teacher Initiative building 1000 North Church St. from 7-8:30 p.m.  Refreshments will be served.

Board of Ed Candidate Forum--Wednesday, October 23, 2019.

Meet the candidates for Moorestown's Board of Education at a forum moderated by MooreUnity in the William Allen Middle School Media Center. The event is being held Wednesday, October 23rd and runs from 7:30-8:30.  Come early starting at 7 p.m. to submit your questions.   Be an educated voter on Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 5th.  Did you miss the forum?  If you're on Facebook, you can watch a Facebook Live recording of it on the MooreUnity Facebook page!  There were several questions that weren't able to be asked during the forum.  You can see the candidates' responses to those questions on this website on the "Add'l Info." tab.






"Emmanuel" Documentary Movie and Discussion Group -- Monday, June 17th

Please join MooreUnity and our partner organizations at a viewing and discussion of the movie "Emanuel: The Untold Story of the Victims and Survivors of the Charleston Church Shooting" on Monday, June 17th at 7 p.m. at the cinema in the Moorestown Mall.  On June 17th, 2015, a 21 year-old white male entered the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, SC and murdered nine people were murdered.  His goal was to start a race war, but the result was an outpouring of grace forgiveness and mercy.  Please join us to view the movie and discuss the role we can play in bringing more peace to our world.  Tickets are $15 and can be ordered in advance by calling 856-234-3791 ext. 11.

MooreUnity Founders Honored at Super Hero Saturday


The founders of MooreUnity are among eight people being honored as local superheroes for contributions to their community during Super Hero Saturday on Saturday, June 15th from noon-3 p.m. Hosted by the Franklin Institute, Cherry Hill Mall and Sun Newspapers, Super Hero Saturday is a family-friendly event at the Cherry Hill Mall where kids can make their own superhero mask, go through an obstacle course, play puzzles, games and brain teasers, get their faces painted, and have a chance to meet Black Widow and Spider-Man.


MooreUnity founders Meredith Butts and Karen Reiner are honored to have been nominated for this recognition and thank the many members of MooreUnity for their contributions to bridging divides in our community and making our town a welcoming place for all residents.
